Welcome to my blog. I have recently revamped the website to focus on books and literature. In 2019 I started this blog to chronicle my adventure returning to university as a non-traditional student (that means I’m old). I thought sharing my experience might be helpful to someone but I quickly found the topic boring. Instead I would end up ranting about something going on in the world or talking about the topic we were covering in one of my literature classes. Mostly though, it was rarely updated. I was taking 18 credit hours each semesters (I do NOT recommend this to anyone) and was buried in homework. I also didn’t know what to write about.
In May 2022 I graduated with my Bachelors of Liberal Studies in English (concentration in creative writing) and Religious Studies. I was also accepted to grad school for the fall semester to get my MA in English with a concentration in Cultural Studies. This means I get to study different cultures through their literature as well as study how culture is reflected in literature. I am probably more excited about this than I should be.
Now I blog about books and do book reviews. My book reviews consist of whatever I happen to be reading at the time along with books I have been provided advanced reader copies of in exchange for an honest review. I will read just about anything, including cereal boxes if I’m out of books. My big love, however, is science fiction.
